PORT D'ANVERS
Port of Antwerp with the Kieldrecht lock to visit, the largest in the world and the largest port in Europe in terms of maritime traffic
The Port of Antwerp is home to the Kieldrecht lock, the largest in the world, handling maritime traffic on the scale of Europe's largest port! Situated at the end of the Deurganck dock on the left bank, it is 500 m long and 68 m wide, and contains three times more steel than the Eiffel Tower! Artist Cazn has adorned the behemoth with a 300 m-wide graffiti, which will be regularly underwater according to the tides.

By bike. Cycling is a great way to explore the Antwerp port area. Pick up your map of cycle paths in the port at the Port Pavilion of the MAS museum (from the top of which there's a nice view of the port) or at the Visit Antwerpen visitor center at the Steen.
The port by bus. Bus tours of the port are organized by Antwerp Port
Tours. Interesting explanations of the port's history (www.antwerpporttours.com, ✆ +32 483 45 78 84).
Don't miss: stroll to Londenbrug and Madrasstraat for a beautiful view of the Port House, designed by Anglo-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid (accessible by streetcar 24, Havenhuis stop). Inaugurated in 2016, its architecture takes the form of a glass boat hull resting on a former fire station, 105 m long and weighing 1,500 tons. The exterior is composed of hundreds of triangular glass panels in three colors, reminiscent of the diamond, another symbol of the city.
