RED STAR LINE MUSEUM
Museum exhibiting stories of passengers who left for America with the Red Star Line, which connected Antwerp, Philadelphia and New York as early as 1881
The steamships of the Red Star Line docked just before the bend in the Scheldt. Today, there's a museum featuring stories of passengers who left to seek a better life in America with this shipping line, which operated a weekly service between Antwerp, Philadelphia and New York from 1881 onwards. A journey that takes us back to the early 1900s, where we can share in the dreams and nightmares of European migrants, thanks to interactive exhibits that combine first-hand accounts and archive material.
