The forest above Husseren-les-Châteaux hides a series of 3 picturesque ruins from the 12th century. Go up to it by leaving the village on the road of the 5 castles. Park in the parking lot on the right and walk along the rocky forest path for 15 minutes. The view on the Alsace plain is breathtaking. The castles, although damaged, allow you to visit some of the towers: a nice exploration with children. On foot, take the pretty 3.2 km path marked out by the Club Vosgien from the church of Husseren-les-Châteaux, which is about 1 hour and 15 minutes of country walk.
