CHAPELLE DES URSULINES
Chapel of neoclassical and neogothic style, housing Eugene Guillaume's studio collection, paintings and drawings of artists.
The former chapel was built in 1870 to accommodate the Ursuline congregation, which had been expelled from its first convent in 1792. Medieval in appearance, it is in fact a fine example of the eclectic architecture in vogue at the end of the 19th century, based on a blend of Gothic and Classicism. Today, the building houses the collection of the sculptor Eugène Guillaume. Born in Montbard, he was director of the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts and a member of the Académie Française. Discover also the paintings and drawings of several local artists.
