NOTRE-DAME CHURCH BEYOND THE DYLE
Gothic church with a carillon tower, the triptych of Rubens the Miraculous Peach, the statue of Our Lady with a crooked hip
This flamboyant and majestic Gothic building was rebuilt in the 14th century after the fire of the previous church, and embellished in the 16th century. Its main treasure is The Miraculous Fishing, a huge triptych by the genius Rubens, commissioned by the fishmongers' guild. In its tower plays a carillon of 49 bells that plays beautiful melodies. Inside, the statue of Our Lady with the crooked hip owes its singular name to the position of the Virgin.
