ÉGLISE SAINT-JEAN
Church of white stone where you can discover sculptures and a triptych of Rubens The Adoration of the Magi, located on the main altar
A simple white stone building with a square tower, St. John's Church (15th century) is not very impressive from the outside, but its interior is worth a look. Its parish was one of the richest in the city, as the members of the Grand Council (the supreme judicial college of the Netherlands) resided in this neighborhood. It houses a triptych by Rubens, The Adoration of the Magi, placed on the lavish high altar. Other interior elements are remarkable, such as the pews of the churchwardens made of carved wood, as well as the refined sculptures.
