À LA TABLE DES JARDINIERS - CHATEAU DE MONTIGNY-SUR-AUBE
Farmhouse inn offering products and fruits from the garden, three dishes including two salted and one sweet.
The castle of Montigny-sur-Aube offers a journey through the history of France through the discovery of a remarkably maintained heritage. Marie-France Ménage-Small, the owner of the property, combines the requirements of the Remarkable Garden and Organic Agriculture labels. The orchards and vegetable gardens of the Clos du Château are home to 250 varieties of fruit trees grown as they were in the 19th century. It is the head gardener Maxime Voizeux who ensures its maintenance with care and requirement. The delicious products of the garden are then served at lunchtime at the Table des Jardiniers, the castle's farm inn. Indeed, freshness boxes, including three dishes, two salted (one hot and one cold) and one sweet, must be reserved on the website 24 hours in advance, to be enjoyed on the terrace of the orangery or at home. La Table is also a tea room in the afternoon with sorbets and fruit juices made with the fruits of the garden, and tasting of vegetables revisited by the chef. A small shop allows you to take away jams and honeys from the castle's apiary, cakes and delicacies produced on the spot.
