BATTLE OVERVIEW
A building located at the foot of the Butte du Lion, housing a circular canvas a few meters long and high
A true masterpiece of military pictorial art, it is located at the foot of the Butte du Lion. Inaugurated in 1912, it houses a circular canvas 110 meters long and twelve meters high illustrating the situation of the fighting, around 4 pm, on June 18, 1815. A central platform places the visitor in the middle of a sound panorama where infantrymen and horsemen confront each other in life size, thanks to the effect of perspective due to the talent of the painter L. Dumoulin and the very realistic foregrounds. The ticket gives access to all the sites of the memorial (hillock, museum...)
