COLLEGIATE CHURCH OF SAINTS ST. PIETER AND PAUL
Collegiate church in typical stone and slate, whose choir is the oldest part in Chimay.
Beautiful collegiate church in typical stone and slate. Its choir, the oldest part, dates from 1250, while the rest of the church, in the Hennuyer Gothic style, is very sober and dates from the 15th century. One can admire a beautiful bulbous bell tower of the 18th century, a Gothic cross decorated with a polychrome wooden Christ of the 16th century, a recumbent of Charles de Croy (the godfather of Charles V), funeral plaques of the princely family and a carillon of 26 bells.
