SOET MILL
Mill whose existence is very old, built in wood, one of the last of the type with pivot in Comines
The mill owes its name to the family of millers who ran it. That's about all that's known about the origins of this ancient building, the first traces of which date back to 1862. This is one of the last "Pivot" mills in the province. Built entirely of wood, it was listed in 1978, renovated in 1987, then... burnt down in 1997. A new mill, built according to the exact plans of its ancestor, has taken its place. Cereal milling demonstrations are held here every summer. You can also taste a beer bearing the mill's label: Baptiste!
