RIBBON MUSEUM
Museum with different looms, moved in real ribbon makers, proceeding to the complete manufacture of the ribbon in Comines
Like many other towns in the region, Comines was once a prosperous textile town. Unfortunately, wars came and went, and by the 17th century, there were no longer any factories in operation. A ribbon-maker set up shop and developed his business into a factory. But after the Second World War, the small factory could only keep up with the times... This museum looks back at this rich history. It features various looms, braiding machines and other objects, including some fifty working machines.
