RIBBON MUSEUM
Museum with different looms, moved in real ribbon makers, proceeding to the complete manufacture of the ribbon in Comines
The town of Comines was a textile town, like many others in the region, and drew its main source of prosperity from it. Unfortunately, the wars went by, and by the 17th century, no more factories were in operation. A ribbon maker then set up his business in the factory. But the small manufacture could only follow the progress after the Second World War... This museum gathers various trades, mused in real ribbons, proceeding to the complete manufacture of the ribbon, from the elaboration to the winding of the spool.
