BRASSERIE SCASSENES
KVB Keizerrijk van Bree
In recent years, the brewery of Ecaussinnes was not a very familiar name to the ears of Belgian public and for good reason, production, especially known for beer range Ultra, was mainly sold abroad. The internationalization of the brewery took on a new dimension in late 2012 when the Middle kingdom entered the field. A Chinese importer joined a French man to buyout the brewery. On the field, five people busy themselves today to continue a brewery activity with Ecaussinnes, assisted by the owner of the Binchoise, Bruno Deghorain.
The first beer to be released from the "new" tanks of Ecaussinnes is a slightly lemon-flavoured white, Keizerrijk van Bree, shortened as KVB. A major part of the production of the KVB is still intended for China and abroad. The thirst for Belgian beers of the Chinese being still far from being sealed, the facilities of the brewery will be considerably wide. But the intention of the group in place today is also to better make know its beers in Belgium. The new owners also wish to later on develop the capacities of visit of the site.
