Restaurant offering special menus in a pleasant setting in Nuits-Saint-Georges.
The restaurant nuiton La Cabotte is still very popular with lovers of intuitive cuisine! For those who don't know it, the cabotte is a shelter for the winegrowers that can be seen in the vineyards, small huts where the workers can rest and have a bite to eat. We can therefore say that the name of the establishment is totally in line with the basic principle, except for this detail: the chef's kitchen is much more than a snack! Thomas Protot masterfully excels in his art of bringing traditional dishes punctuated with exoticism to life. Ingenious and a fervent defender of local products, his cuisine amazes us with its finesse and ardour. Two special menus await you to taste the crème de la crème: Les Saint Georges and Les Cailles. Very greedy proposals for fine but hungry palates. Pan-fried duck foie gras, red cabbage and blackcurrant reduction or parsleyed ham, mustard cream and lamb's lettuce for a few examples of starters. Veal fillet and sweetbread, potato mousseline, capers and haddock or grilled octopus, gnoccchi and miso cream, the choices are interesting and allow you to give free rein to your desires. In addition to this, the setting is pleasant, with a sober wooden decoration in the bistro style, in short, a table not to be missed in the cité nuitonne!
