A museum featuring Gallo-Roman remains and a wealth of objects to discover the daily life of our ancestors.

In 1975, the Musée de Nuits-Saint-Georges was established in a former wine house: since then, the beautiful vaulted cellars have housed interesting archaeological collections, including Gallo-Roman remains found on the Bolards site. You can also see a remarkable collection of Merovingian furniture, discovered during excavations in the canton of Nuits. It's a fascinating journey back in time, providing an insight into the region's specific historical features.

Entrée gratuite, bon accueil, 2 expositions intéressantes et instructives sur une fouille archéologique locale (permanente) et l'histoire du nom des rues permettant de découvrir les grands hommes et femmes de la ville. Surprenant ! Nous avons bien aimé.

Super exposition temporaire
J'ai beaucoup aimé l'exposition temporaire du moment sur les conséquences sociétales de la Grande Guerre, notamment l'activité participative autour de l'arbre à souhaits pour commémorer ces moments importants de notre histoire. Une vraie expérience muséale !
J'ai aussi été séduits par la présentation de la collection archéologique et gallo-romaine. Un beau lieu. Merci à l'équipe du musée pour leur gentillesse.
