LE PETIT SARLAT
A small hostel, opened in May 2005 by the Vanderdonckt family and lost in the middle of the fields, offers a gastronomic journey in the heart of Black Périgord. The decor is charming, the small outdoor garden will allow you to enjoy lunch at all times in the shade of a half-centenary walnut. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The family son guides you in your choices with a certain love for his products. The wine list is well furnished and original… The other son is in the kitchen for your greatest pleasure: let yourself be tempted by its gras duck of duck poëlé to flambées in Calvados, its duck magret in the sauce of morels, accompanied by sarladaises potatoes and small vegetables, or its ice of walnut flambée and armagnac. Guaranteed happiness! Besides these périgourdins dishes, other flavours such as bluefin tuna, tomatoes, Foie gras and dill cream, royal bream, salicornes, quinoa and scarlet cabbage, or pintadeau, pepper sherbet, aubergines and tarragon sauce will delight your taste buds!
The restaurant also offers catering service and sells some of its flagship products - liqueurs, jams, wines… As for those who were satisfied with the meal to the point of taking courses, Le Petit Sarlat offers kitchen workshops whose themes vary on a regular basis.
