At the very top of the belfry, there are still 194 steps to climb to reach the sky! Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it remains the only vestige of a collegiate church razed to the ground in 1811. The belfry dominates the Sambre and rises forty meters above the ground, offering an extraordinary 360-degree view. As you climb up, you'll come across the bells and carillon. The view from the Belfry embraces the unique landscapes of Wallonia and, in the distance, the black country of Charleroi, land of mines and coal. A superb visit, from every point of view.
