TOWN HOTEL
City Hall in the heart of the city, in a green park, with neoclassical facades dating from the abbey palace.
Set in a lovely green park, the Town Hall is located in the heart of Tournai. Not much remains of this former 11th-century Tournai abbey church, destroyed in 1797: only a fine 12th-century Romanesque crypt and a late-15th-century Gothic cloister. The neoclassical facades date from the abbey palace built in 1763. You can admire the kiosks, fountains and cloister from the park, as well as an astonishing Empire-style pavilion adorned with terracotta medallions depicting pagan divinities.
