The Fonds de Quarreux known for its almost unalterable quartz rocks, to be discovered with the Nionglinspo valley next door

Listed as part of Wallonia's exceptional heritage, these two natural sites are very close to each other. The Fonds de Quarreux are renowned for the virtually unalterable quartz rocks found in the Amblève riverbed. Legend has it that the boulders originated in a mill: the miller of Quarreux caused its collapse by betraying a pact made with the devil. A torrential tributary of the Amblève, the Ninglinspo carves out a valley that will delight walkers.
