ST. NICHOLAS CHURCH
Hallenkirche-style church with 3 naves of equal height, master hotel and bell towers, interior in Baroque Rococo style
Built in the early 18th century, the church is of the Hallenkirche (hall church) type, characterized by three naves of equal height, without transept or ambulatory, and a remarkable main hall by the famous architect Couven, known as the master builder of the city of Aachen. Later, both bell towers and the facade were renovated at the end of the 19th century. Don't miss the opportunity to admire the interior decoration, in the purest Rococo Baroque style, which is very busy. The beautiful white and blue stone paving is also noteworthy.
