HENRI-CHAPELLE AMERICAN CEMETERY
Cemetery for American soldiers who lost their lives during World War II, the Memorial houses a chapel and a museum
Behold this monumental cemetery, the resting place of 7,992 American soldiers who lost their lives in the Second World War. Imagine thousands of white crosses perfectly aligned on the lawn. The Memorial contains a chapel and a museum, the two buildings linked by an imposing colonnade decorated with the seals of the States and Territories of the Union. The pillars of the colonnade bear the names of the 450 missing persons whose bodies were never found.
