CHECHEN MUSEUM
Museum-theater dedicated to the folklore of Liège, created to present the costumes and puppets, documents, photos
Tchantchès, the idol of Liège, has his own museum-theater. It's very small, but it's enough to discover the folklore of Liège. It was created in 1947 to present the first costumes and standards. In 1960, these were joined by puppets. Subsequently, documents, photos and objects relating to the subject entered the museum. On Sundays at 10:30 a.m. and Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m., the puppets come to life in a funny little theatrical performance! There's also a bar serving a good péket, Tchantchès's favorite drink.
