Museum of Fine Arts in the Palace of Fine Arts in the heart of the Boverie Park, exhibiting a rich collection, Gauguin, Picasso
The Palais des Beaux-Arts, built for Expo 1905 in the heart of the Parc de la Boverie, was extensively renovated. Since 2016, it has housed the Musée des Beaux-Arts, renamed La Boverie. The collection: Gauguin, Chagall, Picasso, Magritte, Delvaux, as well as Lambert Lombard and Gérard de Lairesse. Quite a collection! The upper floor (2,800 m²) hosts temporary exhibitions in collaboration with Le Louvre. In 2024, discover "Abstrait", a major exhibition featuring over 150 works: Kandinsky will rub shoulders with Malevitch, Léger and contemporary artists.

La présentation bien aérée permet un parcours agréable, malheureusement contrarié par l'éclairage déplorable, voire parfois scandaleusement nullissime.
L'exposition des sculptures de Mady Andrien vaut aussi le déplacement. Allez-y en particulier un jour de beau temps quand la lumière sur les toiles et le Parc de la Boverie est superbe.
