CATHEDRAL OF SAINTS-PAUL-ET-QUIRIN
Cathedral dedicated to the saints Peter, Paul and Quirin in 1784 with 2 towers of the forebody with bell towers, throne with the arms of Malmedy
Built as an abbey church in 1775, it was dedicated to Saints Peter, Paul and Quirin in 1784. It was elevated to cathedral status between 1920 and 1925. Built of local stone, the edifice is quite simple, with a severity redeemed by the blond color of its stone. The two towers of the forecourt bear green, octagonal bell towers reminiscent of the Germanic tradition. A throne bearing the Malmedy coat of arms remains in the choir.
