WOOL CENTRE
Museum in an old wool carding and weaving factory where you can discover the stages of wool sheet manufacturing
The museum is housed in a former wool carding and weaving factory, and a well-designed audioguided tour takes you through the various stages in the manufacture of woollen cloth, one of the region's most historic products and the source of its wealth. It's an interesting way to understand the importance of the town's wool-making past, and immerses you in scenographic spaces and period settings, through the machines and testimonies of workers from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The same tourist organization also runs the neighboring Maison de l'Eau.
