DOMAINE JEAN-CLAUDE BACHELET ET FILS
Domaine Bachelet covers 10 hectares of vines between Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet. The work in the vineyards is rigorous and respectful of the environment, with ploughing and the implementation of sustainable viticulture. The quality of our wines is the result of producing healthy grapes with moderate yields. The estate has over 20 different vineyard plots. Vinification and ageing are carried out in such a way that each wine reflects its unique terroir. Vinification is natural, with indigenous yeasts and slow fermentations. The wines are aged for 18 months in French oak barrels on fine lees. Two winters in the cellar contribute to the finesse, depth and structure of the wine, necessary for its ageing capacity. The estate's roots go back to the mid-17th century. Today, Jean-Claude and his sons, Benoît and Jean-Baptiste, manage this heritage. The approach is traditional, from vine-growing to vinification and ageing. Preserving the heritage and cultivating wines that express their terroir of origin: that's the domaine's philosophy. Domaine Bachelet offers a wide range of white wines, such as Chardonnay, Saint-Aubin Premier Cru and Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru, as well as red wines. Visits to the estate are possible by appointment.
