National park offering park access maps, hikes, 40 loops, bike trails and a bird observatory
Since 2006, this national park is thefirst park in Flanders. More than 5,000 ha of woodland and heathland are managed and protected, the park offers nearly 300 km of hiking and 40 loops that vary from 3 to 14 km, as well as bike paths. One can observe birds such as the woodlark, and birds of prey such as the goshawk. On the flora side, a purple heather dominates with the sessile oak, marshes, peat and coniferous forests. You will find maps at the 5 access gates to the park.
