Former mining site of Winterslag offering a visit to walk through an impressive fan with underground galleries
On the former Winterslag mining site, industrial heritage and contemporary, artistic activities come together. An incredible immersive experience, and a perfect example of the successful rehabilitation of a neglected industrial site into a major economic and tourist attraction. The tour ends with a climb up the 60-metre high headframe to admire the view over the green Limburg countryside. There's also a cinema, a bar, tourist information and a design center on site.
