FAMENNE & ART MUSEUM
Renovated museum dedicated to the local Merovingian and Carolingian remains, at the Master of Waha in Marche-en-Famenne
Housed in an 18th-century building, this renovated museum is devoted to local Merovingian and Carolingian remains, the Master of Waha (a delightful figure of late Gothic sculpture). It also features the 17th-century sanctuary known as "Le Monument", as well as the trades of yesteryear and modern and contemporary art. One room is dedicated to the lace-making trade, for which the town was famous. Throughout the year, a rich cultural program is on offer, with numerous seasonal events.
