FAMENNE & ART MUSEUM
Renovated museum dedicated to the local Merovingian and Carolingian remains, at the Master of Waha in Marche-en-Famenne
Housed in an 18th century building, this renovated museum is devoted to local Merovingian and Carolingian remains, to the Master of Waha (a fine figure of late Gothic sculpture). But also to the site known as "the Monument", a sanctuary of the 17th century, as well as to the trades of the past or to modern and contemporary art. A room is reserved for the lace-making trade, which made the reputation of the city. In the spring of 2019, the rooms devoted to Prehistory and Antiquity have benefited from a brand new scenography.
