Reserve of exceptional geological interest, located on the borders of Lorraine in Muno
La Roche à l'Appel is located in the village of Muno on the border of Lorraine, a few steps from the French border. It is included in the vast forest of Muno and is an integral part of the immense massif stretching from Martelange to Sedan. The site is of exceptional geological interest. It appears as a chaotic heap of huge blocks of Fépin pudding. The deciduous woods surrounding it are of varied composition: oaks, beeches but also conifers. In some places, along the streams that cut into the slope, peaty areas of botanical interest stretch out. The small world of mosses and liverworts is remarkably rich and diverse. The entomological fauna, especially among the beetles, is also represented by numerous species, sometimes very rare elsewhere in the country.
