MOULIN DE SORINE
Set amid vineyards and stone walls, this MOULIN DE SORINE is the only windmill in the region.
8 meters high, amidst vineyards and stone walls, it is the only windmill in the region. A town of water, Santenay has long relied on the Terron and Dheune rivers to turn its mills. The lack of water brought the wheels to a halt. François Sorine decided to build a windmill, which would limit dependence on water. A witness to the commune's past, the mill was renovated in 1995. The mechanism has been refurbished, and every3rd weekend in June, the mill is back in operation. The view is remarkable!
