In the heart of Burgundy, on a hillside of majestic vineyards stands the castle of Santenay, a superb manor house dating back to the th, th and th centuries. He belonged to Philippe the Bold, son of King of France Jean the Good and Duke of Burgundy (1342-1404). This is why it is commonly called the Château Philippe le Bold. It offers a wide range of designations: Chardonnay Old Vines, Mercurey, Clos La Chaise Dieu in monopoly and first two vintages of Santenay for whites. In red, you have the choice between two first Beaune Beaune, two first crus santenay, one Pommare, one Aloxe Corton and one big cru, Le Clos de Vougeot. The property and the tasting cellar are freely visited at the opening hours and guided tours are also offered. It is possible to rent this prestigious place, with glazed tiles, for receptions and seminars.
