Its five conical towers and its location on a rocky outcrop give it an enchanting appearance. It is even nicknamed the castle of Sleeping Beauty. Built in the 8th century, it was one of the residences of Pépin de Herstal, father of Charles Martel. Rebuilt in the 15th century, it has preserved this military architecture of the late Middle Ages. Still inhabited by the Counts of Liedekerke Beaufort, owners for six centuries, it houses refined 18th century furniture, as well as a rich collection of antique objects: rare porcelains, paintings...
