PÂTISSERIE PIERSON
Pierson is an institution in Courrière, along the Nationale 4. Two generations ago, Luc's grandfather, the current boss, founded the company on a dice roll: he imagined the development of the automobile in 1919 and set up shop along the main road. Craftsmanship is still the order of the day and so is the use of local ingredients, such as farm milk from the Condroz. The pies are made with leavened dough. Some of the breads are still made with the original recipes, using traditional flours. Belgian beers, sandwiches and hot dishes at the snack bar.
