CARACOLE BREWERY
Brewery producing organic beers, with a wood-fired tank, and a tasting room with the air of a troquet
François Tonglet set up in 1992 in the former Lamotte brewery in Falmignoul. In addition to the classic Caracole amber (7.5% vol./alc), the range was soon enriched with a brown version, a white Troublette (5.5%), a Saxo blonde (7.5%) and a brown Nostradamus of 9%. Their beers are also available in an organic version. Caracole is also developing custom-made beers, such as the raw-hopped Hic, produced for a lay cooperative. The wood-fired vat is a must for any visit, as is the tasting room, which looks like an old-fashioned bar.
