TROPICAL GREENHOUSES OF THE TECHNICAL HORTICULTURAL CENTRE
They are suitable for the research and training of future horticulture engineers and landscape architects and are open to the general public. Unique in Wallonia, the site covers 24 hectares. It depends directly on the Supérieur Higher Horticultural institute. Fruit arboriculture occupies six hectares and vegetable cultivation covers an equivalent area, including a parcel of «forgotten vegetables». Ornamental arboriculture and forestry also occupy a predominant place. Finally, the floriculture is arranged in a modern greenhouses complex. Within them, there is a collection for the least of Mediterranean and tropical plants and varieties more adapted to our region.
