Every year on 31 May, horse lovers and horse racing enthusiasts will love this great medieval festival. A jump in time.
This festival combines 3 events: the Chausses race, the Bague race and the Timbale race. The first one has its roots in the Auxois of the Renaissance. In the 17th century, the horse's gallop replaced the man's strides, and thus the race of the ring was born. Finally, in the 19th century, the Timbale race was added: a harnessed trotting race. Since then, every 31 May, in medieval dress, the riders start on the Cours Charles-de-Gaulle.
