EGLISE SAINT MARTIN
Church featuring a beautiful façade with a superb rose window 6 meters in diameter.
Listed as a Monument Historique in 1927, Saint-Martin de Seurre is a Gothic-style church, but also features a number of more recent gems. Overlooking the Saône River, it boasts an octagonal bell tower rebuilt in the 18th century, housing a carillon of 47 bells. Its vast polygonal choir is rare for Burgundy, while the 17th-century organ is often visited by organists from all over France. Restoration work this year will focus on the exterior, and is scheduled to last until early 2025.
