In the north of the city, in the Bomel district, slaughterhouses were built in 1946 in a style very representative of its time. Closed in 1988, the premises were converted into a cultural centre in 2014 after having had various uses. Superbly renovated, Les Abattoirs are a multimodal place adapted to various artistic functions: exhibition or performance rooms (150 seats), space for associations, workshops (theatre, dance, music, plastic arts...), artistic residence... Complete program announced a few months in advance on the website.
