Since 2009, the Citadelle site has hosted a round of the Belgian Cyclocross Championship. An old discipline, hybrid between road and mountain biking, it enjoys a great popularity in Belgium. Stars of road cycling have written their names on the list of winners of the event, such as Mathieu van der Poel or Wout Van Aert! In November 2022, Namur successfully organized the European Cyclocross Championship, replacing the Belgian date on the national calendar. Usually held in December, this date has not yet been set for 2023.
