PALAIS PROVINCIAL
Provincial Palace, one of the most beautiful public buildings in Wallonia, with an interior decoration, with deep renovation
The most important 18th century building in Namur, the Provincial Palace has been the seat of the eponymous institutions since 1830, i.e. since the creation of Belgium. It impresses as much by its dimensions as by its architectural characteristics. Formerly the episcopal residence from 1732 until the French Revolution, the Provincial Palace is one of the most beautiful public buildings of the 18th century in Wallonia. Its interior decoration is also worth a look. A thorough renovation (roofs, frameworks, attics) was completed in 2022.
