COMTAL CASTLE
Castle of Rochefort with terraces and a view, hosting an archaeological museum, with walks
Several times assaulted during its long history, it served as a quarry in the 19th century and was largely dismantled at that time. Overlooking the town, the Rochefort county castle allows visitors to enjoy an exceptional panoramic view, complemented by an orientation table. The various terraces formed by the ruins of the old castle also allow views in different directions. The remains of the castle are also home to an archaeological museum, walks and a treasure hunt for the younger ones.
