BROGNE (ABBAYE DE)
They were already brewing at the Saint-Gérard de Brogne abbey in the 10th century, but the tradition was lost during the French Revolution, reports Bruno Deghorain, who has reinstalled a micro-brewery there. In addition to the production of the brewery La Binchoise that he manages, he brews a blonde Brogne and a Spéciale Noël, both organic. The abbey has a hotel-restaurant, reception rooms and a vineyard. The Barley wine is a triple, organic like the rest of the range. In limited quantities (3,000 copies), it is only available on site and in a few shops.
