VIEUX BOURG DE TALANT
A village with the old Fontaine-lès-Dijon, with the Dukes of Burgundy preserving the wealth and archives of the court
The old town of Talant faces the hillock that houses the old Fontaine-lès-Dijon. At an altitude of nearly 350 meters, the "mons de Talant" overlooks Dijon and offers a breathtaking panorama. At the beginning of the 13th century, the Dukes of Burgundy built a fortress to preserve the wealth and archives of the court. The village will be formed around it and will obtain a communal title by Eudes III in 1216, as well as a coat of arms. The building did not resist the religious wars and was destroyed in 1598. The view, the alleys and the heritage will have resisted to time.
