THE OUCHE BRIDGE-CHANNEL
The Pont d'Ouche Canal Bridge is a water bridge, a unique engineering structure and an architectural curiosity that is worth a visit. Over a length of about fifteen metres, this very special construction allows the Canal de Bourgogne to pass over the Ouche river. A rare construction in France, the Canal Bridge is supported by three low-profile arches and offers a water depth of 2.30 m. In the past, this place was home to the arrival of the Houillères d'Epinac railway, one of the oldest French lines that can still be used by the tourist railway of the Ouche Valley. In addition, a short detour to the Pont-Canal allows you to observe another surprising structure: the Pont d'Ouche viaduct on which the A6 motorway runs. If you take the Canal de Bourgogne cycle route, you will pass by there....
