Gite with terrace next to the Route des Crêtes with simple and comfortable rooms ideal for stays
When you're away for a weekend or longer, a gîte can be an excellent accommodation option. Located in the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park, close to the Route des Crêtes and the Route des Vins, this gîte can accommodate up to fifteen people. Gérard is the passionate owner of this huge 260m2 stone building, several hundred years old, built into the rock on the mountainside, facing the Thur river and bordering the forest. Although the walls were once subject to the French Revolution, the house has been renovated and enlarged. The most recent addition is a green terrace with a pretty apple tree and furniture designed for lounging! The simple, comfortable rooms are distinguished by their colors: green, blue, pink, parma and yellow. Our table d'hôtes will introduce you to local culinary specialties such as sauerkraut, valley pie, black pudding, fleischnakas and homemade kougelhopf. L'Avant-Thur is a beautiful Vosges house offering a warm welcome. The guestbook and its several volumes bear witness to this. gérard's slogan, "Vivez vos vacances comme en famille", is a perfect illustration of the adventure that awaits you here!
