A trail lined with explanatory panels to discover Myard mountain, overlooking the Brenne and Armançon valleys.
A signposted route (8 km) with explanatory panels allows you to discover the different sites of the "mountain" of Myard. Located at 510 m of altitude, this plateau dominates the valley of the Brenne and the Armançon. 6,000 years ago, the first sedentary breeders and farmers of the Auxois cleared the northern end of the plateau. They built a fortified village, protected by a dry stone wall reinforced by the cliffs. The village was abandoned around 1800 B.C., then occupied again 800 years later, during the Bronze Age.
