FLOATING MARKET
Every day at sunrise, the floating market invades part of Dal Lake. On their gondola, merchants sell to the early risers their vegetables (lady fingers, peas, radish, carrots, cabbage, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, depending on season) before they go to the city. In the midst of this burly, other vendors offer flowers or even cachemiries pastries (especially the famous macaroons). This colourful and perfumed spectacle is worth waking up at the aurores. Ask the crew of your houseboat who will take you to the "place" of the floating market.
