This reserve, sacred to the Waradjuri aborigines, is home to spectacular rounded granite formations.

This reserve is home to spectacular rounded granite formations, visible for miles around. Very schematically, the process of creation of these rocks is due to a long action of the elements on the friable external parts still under ground. The aging process accelerates once the rocks are exposed to the air by the erosion of the surrounding soil. Evans Crown is a sacred place for the Waradjuri aborigines who occupied the site in the early 19th century.
