Den Tràng An Cô is a mysterious place nestled into the mountainside, around 500 meters from the ancient capital of Hoa Lu. Seldom visited by foreign tourists, it was built during the reign of King Dinh Tien Hoang. It has a unique mystical atmosphere, with a temple dedicated to the former king, wells with the Ying and Yang logo leading into deep, inaccessible caves and a statue of the goddess Quan Âm. Small museum with objects dating back to the 7th century. Boat trip available (only VND 70,000 per person).
