CHÂTEAU DE VILLEMOLIN
This castle, listed as a Historic Monument, was built in a "U" shape with substantial corner towers
Château de Villemolin dates back to the 15th century, before undergoing modifications in the 18th and 19th centuries. Built in a U-shape with substantial corner towers, it is listed as a Monument Historique, notably for its chapel, which features a 15th-century pietà painted on wood. Built on a feudal motte facing the Morvan mountains, it was the setting for Bruno Podalydès' 2003 film Le Mystère de la Chambre jaune. Memories of the film abound. A private residence, it is only open to visitors in summer.
